WELCOME BACK!

ACTIVITY #1

Watch this video on leveling a tripod

ACTIVITY #2

Watch this short clip-  funny moment during the last few minutes of CHSTV from last year.  A student appeared on the show as a guest (with a snake) and we put the snake on one of the anchors at the end of the show.  Here's the clip.

ACTIVITY #3

1.  Let's look at each of your stories.  We are not "grading" them, but we are going to "categorize" them so that we can decide which ones might air on VMSTV.  Please follow the directions on this form and watch each video all the way through and then give it a rating.

ACTIVITY #4

2.  On Saturday afternoon we shot some video of local artist Bryan Snyder for a 60 to 75 second "narrative" story.  A narrative video has no reporter voiceover.  Bryan was selling special Carlsbad Power Plant sculptures with the smoke stack. VMSTV purchased one.  This story will air in our big Award of Excellence Broadcast.  Please follow these steps.

a.  Download this transcript of the interview and note the text that has been highlighted in YELLOW

b.  Watch this short Explainer Video

c.  Log into your WeVideo Account and look for the "Bryan Snyder Powerplant Narrative Story."

d.  Starting with Michael's standup, edit a 60 to 75 second narrative story using the a-roll and b-roll.

e.  Choose the BEST INTERVIEW ANSWERS from the highlighted options, add b-roll to hide any jump cuts, add a title for Bryan Snyder.  Keep your edit to 60 seconds (minimum) and 75-seconds (maximum).

f.  You can use the song that is included with the video clips, or use a song of your choosing from Epidemicsound or from WeVideo.

I did some color correction to give my practice video a cinematic look.

My iPhone is set to film at 24fps and we shot some of the interview using the FOCOS app on the iPhone.
